Sultanpur National Park, Haryana

Sultanpur National Park, located about 15 km from Gurugram, was declared a Ramsar site in 2021. Spread across 142 hectares, it is a vital wetland in the semi‑arid region of Haryana. The park is famous for its shallow lakes and marshes that attract over 250 bird species, including migratory visitors from Europe, Central Asia, and Siberia make it a paradise for birdwatchers.

It was a refreshing day out at Sultanpur National Park, just 15 kilometers from Gurugram, during our short two‑day visit to the city during the month of December. The winter air carried a quiet charm as we wandered through the park’s trails, pausing to watch birds in their natural rhythm.
