On a warm day in May 2017, we visited Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Van Udyan—the butterfly garden in Nashik. Although we did not see many butterflies, the surroundings had their own quiet charm: stretches of dry grasslands, clusters of green trees, and a few flowering trees adding color to the landscape. These images capture the feel of that afternoon, more about the place itself than the flutter of wings we had hoped to see.

The butterfly garden in May showed more of its landscape than butterflies. You can read a detailed post on a recent visit to this place here.
